This was last year, I haven't had time to upload my holocaust museum/memorial series yet but this is one picture.
I went to the Holocaust memorial in Miami, and it's quite a serene place, of course. I was captivated by this jewish man because he's just so traditional, also because he was praying at the end of the walkway in the memorial. It was so emotional. I thought it was beautiful.
Very impressive photo... it works on several levels. The composition is almost lyrical -- attention focused on the solitary figure in a way that is both commanding and intimate, the bow of his back repeated in the curves of the walkway, the shock of the greenery framed by the almost monochromatic colonnade and memorial wall serving as a protective blanket around the man, and the delicate blue hues of the kippah an affirmation of his faith. Add to this the powerful subject matter, and you have an extremely profound message -- a stellar work!
Glad I came across it during these Days of Awe... thank you for the gift! l'Shana Tova!

The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
Hello there! This news article is the result of a thumb share thread I posted few days ago on the dA forum along with pictures from my favorites. I hope you enjoy them.
